This self-build project required a helping hand to resolve several complex architectural issues. Originally, the house had been formed by joining two separate buildings, resulting in a lack of overall coherence. The upstairs rooms within the dormer roof were particularly small, which was problematic for the clients—a young and growing family of five.

Our approach focused on unifying the building both visually and spatially. A new external render and roof treatment became the primary unifying elements, complemented by the introduction of timber cladding and the addition of new dormers. Together, these interventions improved internal space, enhanced functionality, and gave the house a cohesive, contemporary identity.
